CHAINWHEEL CARRIER FOR DUCATI
- The Renthal Ducati carrier is a replacement for the one-piece rear chainwheel of the Ducati 748 and 916
- The carrier is designed to enable the rear chainwheel to be changed without removing the rear wheel (this cannot be done with the original one-piece Ducati chainwheel)
- Carrier is manufactured from 6082 T-6 aluminum alloy, which is hard anodized to help prevent corrosion and surface damage; center of the carrier features a PTFE-lined steel DU-bush so
carrier does not pick up on shaft
- Since aluminum is one third the weight of steel, the unsprung revolving weight which has to be accelerated and braked is substantially reduced
- Must be used in conjunction with the Renthal chainwheel
